E que este ano voltou a ser gravada por um rapaz de nome Clay Aiken, do qual poucos, estou certo, ouviram falar.
Without You ajudou a fazer carreiras. E contribuíu para que Peter Ham se tivesse enforcado no quintal da sua casa, em 1975. O manager e a editora não lhe pagavam os direitos de autor e os royalties a que tinha direito, reclamou na nota de suicídio. E contribuíu para que Tom Evans se tivesse enforcado, na garagem de sua casa, corria o ano de 1983. Ninguém lhe pagou aquilo a que tinha direito, clamou Evans.
A canção, que como todas as outras é um organismo vivo e dotado de extraordinária inteligência, sendo senhora de sua vontade, continuou o caminho que para ela traçou. Vive bem e será, com certeza, gravada brevemente por outra candidata a estrela. E voltará a subir aos tops, estou em crer. E hoje, apareceu no rádio do meu carro. Pela voz do fantasma de Ham. Pela mão do fantasma de Evans.
